Spaceheadz

Everyone knows that in life everybody wants to be normal. All of us want to have friends and to be popular among classmates. In the book Spaceheadz by Jon Scieszka, Michael K experiences a number of turning points that change him. These turning points cause him to form a bond with two kids that will change his life forever in very strange ways.

Michael K wants to be nothing more than a normal kid. When the teacher tells him to sit at the table with the new kids even in his wildest dreams didn’t he imagine  of befriending aliens. Not only did he become friends with two aliens pretending to be his classmates but he also helps them to complete their mission.

In the book Spaceheadz there are many turning points. The most significant turning point is when Michael K decides to help the Spaceheadz instead of trying to get rid of them.  In one scene, Michael K starts to fix up the Spaceheadz web site. Michael K says “We’ll start with the Spaceheadz website, Yikes ... we might want to make a few changes... so kids will sign up.” This shows that Michael K has become friends with them and he is helping them.

The moral of this book is never judge a book by it’s cover. Life is full of surprises, good or bad. In this case it’s good because a friendship is developed among a human and extraterrestrials!!!
