This is a decomposer in a form of a moss/fungi
it is on the wood and decomposing it. That is why it is cracking and is rotting.
Moss is found usually in dark and damp places, this type of moss is similar to the type at the SAS forest it is similar because it thrives on plants and wood that were once alive. Also it likes to decompose dead insects and animals.
This is human interaction in the present as you can see it is trash that has been disposed of recently,
you can tell because it has no moss or plants growing on it. this is different from the SAS forest because there is no trash (if you littered it would be a instant detention)
it is the same as the SAS forest not because of the trash but because of other human interaction, like paths and stone walkways.
This is an example of human interaction in the past, as you can see it is overgrown and is starting to rot and decompose. this is similar to the SAS forest because there are some paths that are blocked of because they are the older paths and the plants have grown right over it. This is also different from the SAS forest because it is new and it used to be a open rainforest.
